Obituary for Lacey Britton (Cook)

Lacey Britton (Cook)
Our beloved Wife, Mom, Daughter and Sister, Lacey Joelle Britton, age 30, of Harrison, MI. was called away by Jesus to her Heavenly Home, on November 15th, 2017.
Lacey was born August 1, 1987 in Midland, Michigan, the daughter of Michael John Cook & Keri Kim (McClenathen) Cook.
She attended Skeel’s Christian School grades kindergarten through 12th grade and graduated in 2005.
Married at the age of 18, she began her life with John William Britton on October 15th 2005. She chose to be a homemaker so she could be home with her children whom she dearly loved. Lacey enjoyed spending time with her family, her role as a mom was the most important. She loved to go camping and she loved to make homemade cards for her loved ones.
She was a member of Trinity Christian Life Center in Harrison, MI. and loved her church family very much.
She fought very hard, a very difficult battle of breast cancer for 2 years. She had a very strong will to live, unwavering faith in God and the love and prayers of family and friends helped to carry her through. She always wanted to make sure that people were praying for her.
Left behind with her cherished memories are: her loving husband, John Britton of Harrison, her 4 children, Bailee (9), Emerey (7), Libertee (6), and Maycee (4) of Harrison, her parents Mike and Kim Cook of Harrison, her sister, Keiley (Stephen) Striker of Republic, MO., Her grandparents, Barbara McClenathen and Ken and Jean Cook of Harrison, and her nephews, Hudson and Silas Striker plus many relatives and friends.
Lacey was preceded in death by her Grandpa, Frank McClenathen, December 2004.
We will miss her very much and we are very thankful for God’s promise of being able to see her again someday.
Visitation will take place on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 4:00 P.M.~8:00 P.M. at Stocking Funeral Home in Harrison, MI.
