Obituary for Janice "Sue" Bertrand (Orcutt)

Janice "Sue"  Bertrand (Orcutt)
Janice “Sue” S. Bertrand 65, of Harrison passed peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 24, 2018. Janice was born September 21, 1952 in Hobbs, New Mexico the daughter of Calvin and Joy (Spaulding) Orcutt. Janice graduated from McLain High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma class of 1969. On July 27, 1981 in Miami, Oklahoma, Sue was united in marriage to Mr. Paul E. Bertrand.
Mrs. Bertrand had resided in Harrison since 1986, moving from Dallas, Texas. Sue was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Harrison. She enjoyed bowling, casino slot therapy at Soaring Eagle Casino, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, cooking, baking floral gardening, horseback riding, dancing, relaxing at various beaches, watching football and cheering for her beloved Peyton Manning. Sue also had a love of hockey and was a fan of the Detroit Red Wings and the Montreal Canadiens. Sue was a force to reckon with when she was fishing, as her favorite quote was “she can out-fish anyone in the country.
Surviving Mrs. Bertrand is her loving husband of thirty-six years, Mr. Paul E. Bertrand of Harrison, her daughter, Christie Balog and husband Curtis of Sevierville, Tennessee, two sons; Keith Bertrand of St. Louis, Michigan and Kevin Bertrand of Charleston, South Carolina, thirteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many friends. Mrs. Bertrand was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Mass for Sue will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Harrison with Rev. Peter Nwokoye officiating. Visitation will take place on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison with rosary services beginning at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in St. Athanasius Catholic Cemetery, Harrison. Memorial gifts in memory of Sue may be considered to the Bertrand Family, in care of Mr. Paul E. Bertrand.
