Jewelline  Smith (Seiber)
Jewelline Smith 81 of Harrison, went to be with her Lord on Friday, July 7, 2018. Jewelline was born November 19, 1936 in Anderson County, Tennessee, the daughter of Harvey and Dorothy Jean (Taylor) Seiber. On May 15, 1953 in Pontiac, Michigan, Jewelline was united in marriage to Mr. Grant Smith. After forty-five years of marriage, Grant preceded Jewelline in death on May 3, 1999.
Mrs. Smith had resided in Harrison since 1987, moving from Pontiac, Michigan. Jewelline was a longtime member of Trinity Christian Life Center, Harrison. Jewelline was very faithful to her Bible, volunteering at her church, and helping at the church nursery. She loved spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren, whom she considered the most awesome in the world. Jewelling enjoyed cooking and baking, buying treasures from QVC and crocheting keepsakes for her family. She was a big fan of the Detroit Pistons and was blessed to attend a game on her 70th birthday with her son in law, Dave.
Surviving Mrs. Smith are her four loving daughters; Vickie Gress of Harrison, Sharon Smith of Idlewood, Michigan, Gail Michel of Harrison and Stacey Bondie and husband Dave of Marion, Michigan, thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, eight great great-grandchildren, one sister, Betty Pepper of Fayetteville, Tennessee, one son in law, Roger Strickland of Harrison, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and numerous church family members. Jewelline also was preceded in death by three daughters; Patricia Carlock, Gwen Strickland and Rhonda McKenkie, one granddaughter, Christina Ann McIntosh, one great-grandson, Ethan Grant Smith, one sister, Mildred Jean Smith and one son in law, Charles Gress.
Funeral services celebrating Mrs. Smith will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from Trinity Christian Life Center, 236 East Park Street, Harrison, with Pastor Dennis Feuerstein officiating. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison. Burial will be in Pleasant Plains Cemetery, Harrison. Memorial gifts in memory of Mrs. Smith may be considered to: Compassion Connection-Trinity Christian Life Center, Harrison.
