Richard “Dick” Clarence Wright 82 of Clare, Michigan passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland. Richard was born April 10, 1937 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of Clarence Dudleigh Wright and Edith Harriet (Jordan) Wright. Mr. Wright enlisted in the Army National Guard and honorably served his country. Dick had resided in Clare since 1978, moving from Saginaw. On October 10, 1987 in Clare, Dick was united in marriage to Glorya Jean Nichols. Glorya preceded Dick in death on June 30, 2018 after thirty years of marriage. Mr. Wright was the former owner and operator of Whitetail Design for many years, a former writer of Precision Shooting magazine for over twenty-one years and former employee of Fullerton Tool of Saginaw. Dick was a competitive shooter, car advocate, avid reader and sportsman. He enjoyed designing, building and shooting custom rifles. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed watching golf on the television for many years.

Surviving Mr. Wright is his daughter, Holly E. Michael and husband Ronald of Saginaw, one step-daughter, Dee Crownover of San Tan Valley, Arizona, one step-son, Thomas Lyons and wife Tina of Hilliard, Florida, seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, his sister in law, Bev Wright of Saginaw, many nieces, nephews, his k-9 companion, Spike and cat, Rosebud. Mr. Wright also was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Wyman Wright.
A Memorial Gathering in memory of Mr. Wright will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. from the Harrison Sportsmans Club, 3704 North Harrison Avenue, Harrison.
