Emil Frank Kus Jr., 74 of Harrison passed away at his home Thursday, March 19, 2020. Emil was born June 3 1945 in Owosso, Michigan the son of Frank Kus and Mary (Hornak) Kus. Upon graduating from St. Johns High School, Mr. Kus enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and honorably served his country during the Vietnam War. After serving his country, Mr. Kus began his career working for AT&T and worked as a lineman for over thirty years.

Emil had resided in Harrison since 2004, moving from Mecosta, Michigan and formerly from St. Johns, and Dimondale, Michigan. Emil enjoyed watching MSU sporting events, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, Detroit Pistons and Detroit Red Wings events. He loved fishing, maintaining his yard, home and cars.
Surviving Mr. Kus is his son, Chad Kus of Saco, Maine, his loving mother, Mary Kus of St. Johns, two brothers; Dan Kus of St. Johns and Jerry Kus and wife Yvonne of Montana, one brother in law, Ted Halitsky of St. Louis, Michigan, plus many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Emil was preceded in death by his father, one sister, Betty Halitsky, one brother, Dave Kus and his beloved dog, Spunky.
