Donald “Furley” Fredrick Kuehl Jr. 51 of rural Harrison passed away at his home on Saturday, May 2, 2020. Donald was born June 27, 1968 in Clare, Michigan, the son of Donald Fredrick Kuehl Sr. and Ada “Sue” Elizabeth (Lloyd) Kuehl. Don graduated from Harrison Community Schools, Class of 1986. Mr. Kuehl was a life-long resident of Harrison and member of Faith Lutheran Church, Harrison.

Don grew up working on the family farm, spending many hours a day assisting with crop farming and milk production. He also worked several years as a Hot Oiler operator with Beckman Production Services Inc. of Harrison, mail carrier with the United States Postal Service for over ten years and most recently was a Hay Hauler and assisted various Amish families with travel and equipment transportation. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, truck driving, watching televised NASCAR races and Fox News.
Surviving Mr. Kuehl are his two children; Donald F. Kuehl III and fiancée, Kayla Elliott of Harrison and Shelby Lynn Battle and husband Brandon of also of Harrison, his father, Donald F. Kuehl Sr. of Harrison, one sister, Cheryl “Cherrie” Kuehl of Harrison, three grandchildren; Alexandria Bergey, Addisyn Elliott and Brynley Elliott, one step-son, Nathan Anderson and wife Nicole of Germany, plus many extended family members and his beloved dog, Nala. Don was preceded in death by his mother, Ada “Sue” E. Kuehl.
Celebration of Life services honoring Don will be announced at a later date. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Harrison. Memorial gifts in memory of Don may be considered to the Kuehl Family.
