Richard Joseph Lynn Sr., 83 of Coleman, Michigan passed away suddenly at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland. Richard was born July 20, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Bruno and Wanda (Jagodzinski) Leszczynski. Mr. Lynn graduated in 1955 from Detroit Pershing High School, Detroit. Richard was united in marriage to Darlene Holley on February 22, 1995 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Richard had resided in Coleman since 2001, moving from Johannesburg, Michigan and previously from Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Mr. Lynn was a member of UAW Local 314 for thirty-three years while employed at Borg-Warner Automotive, lifetime member of the NRA and a long-time member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks #2399 of Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Richard enjoyed wintering in Arizona, cooking, grilling his world famous ribs, hunting, fishing, swimming, diving, home improvement projects and watching baseball and football games.
Surviving Mr. Lynn is his loving wife of twenty-five years, Mrs. Darlene Lynn of Coleman, three children; Richard Lynn Jr. and wife Kim of Lake Orion, Michigan, Julie Curran and husband Bill of Chesterfield, Michigan and Amy Calhoun of Rochester, Michigan, six grandchildren; Monica Lynn, Mason Lynn, Sean Curran and wife Colleen, Kelly Curran, Sammy Calhoun and Joey Calhoun, three great-grandchildren; Dominic Curran, Roman Curran and Cole Curran, one sister, Barbara Ann D’Asaro of Heartland, Michigan, one brother, Bernard Lynn and wife Kathy of Brighton, Michigan, mother in-law, Alice Winter of Harrison, many brothers and sisters in-law, numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Dean Michael Lynn and brother in-law, Vincent D’Asaro
Celebration of Life service and dinner honoring Mr. Lynn will be held Saturday, August 1, 2020 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at River Town Inn, 1220 East Cedar Avenue, Gladwin, Michigan 48624.
