Homa Earl Buff 88 of rural Harrison passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 at his home. Homa was born October 2, 1932 in Drexel, North Carolina, the son of Molton C. Buff and Bertha (Powell) Buff. Mr. Buff honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Upon his discharge from the Army, Homa began employment with General Motors Corporation Pontiac Division as a Reliefman, a position he held for forty-one years, until his retirement. Homa was united in marriage to Ms. Virginia Lee Broom on September 9, 1966 in Pontiac, Michigan. Mrs. Buff preceded Homa in death on July 6, 2004 after thirty-seven years of marriage.

Mr. Buff had resided in Harrison since 2016, moving from Darlington, South Carolina. Homa enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing the lottery, especially three and four digit daily’s and scratch off tickets.
Surviving Mr. Buff are his one daughter, Lois G. Lizzet and husband Pat of Harrison, three grandchildren; Chad E. Buff Sr., Jenny Bowers and Charles Buff and wife Sandy, three great-grandchildren; Felisha Buff, Riley Wallace and Marionna Buff, one step-daughter in-law, Judy Bowers of South Carolina, one granddaughter-in law, Tracey Wallace, one sister in-law, Aunt Bee Buff of Denver, North Carolina, many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mr. Buff also was preceded in death by his parents, one step-son, Donald Bowers, one great-grandson, Chad E. Buff Jr., one sister, six brothers and his beloved dog, Peanut.
Inurnment for Mr. Buff will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan. With military honors conducted under the auspices of the Waterford Township VFW.
