Barbara “Jeanie” Jean Beltz 75 of Harrison passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Woodland Hospice House, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Barbara was born April 23, 1945 in Shreveport, Louisiana, the daughter of Roy and Doris (Holly) Bruce.
Jeanie had resided in Harrison since 1971, moving from Detroit, Michigan. Jeanie was a past employee of Clare County Cleaver, Clare County Transit and her proudest moments were spent employed with Clare County Sheriff’s Department as a 911 dispatcher. When Jeanie wasn’t working, she enjoyed being with her family and friends, painting, knitting, and cooking.
Surviving Ms. Beltz is her son, Christopher Lints and wife Lisa of Marion, Michigan, her two daughters; Annie McLavy of Harrison and Victoria Erskine also of Harrison, six grandchildren; Melissa Hammons and husband Terry, Jenny Lints, Kristy Lints, Madelyn McLavy, Andrew Erskine and Alex Erskine, twenty-one great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, one sister, Myrna Bruce-Rafijah of California, plus many extended family members. Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents, and the father of her daughters, William Beltz.

Annie and Vickie, I am so sorry to her of the passing of your mom. Jeanie and I became friend back when you girls and Karen were in school. She was always laughing and smiling about something, but also was someone you could talk to if you needed a listening ear. She put up a good battle, with you girls help. I pray that God wraps his loving arms around all of you and gets you through this difficult time. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love you. Connie Calkins
