Obituary

Richard “Bill” William Malcolm 75 of Harrison passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. Richard was born March 4, 1945 in East Garden City, New York, the son of Gloria (Suddueth) Malcolm. On August 7, 1965 in Warren, Michigan, Bill was united in marriage to Ms. Margaret Newman. Mr. Malcolm dedicated thirty-four years working at Chrysler Corporation as a Hi Lo Operator.
Bill and Margaret moved to Harrison in 2001 from Roseville, Michigan, making Harrison their permanent home. Bill was a longtime member of St. Clair Shores Moose Lodge #1837. Mr. Malcolm enjoyed home improvement projects around home, and tinkering in his garage. He found great relaxation in yardwork, growing his prized tomato plants, and taking trips on his Harley Davidson with his wife. For several years, Bill and Margaret traveled to Florida enjoying the warm winters.
Surviving Mr. Malcolm is his loving wife and best friend of fifty-five years, Mrs. Margaret Malcolm of Harrison, one son, Shane W. Malcolm and wife Kristie of Roseville, three grandchildren; Levy (Liz), Hailee and Rylee, one god-daughter, Samantha Sieben of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, plus several nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mr. Malcolm was preceded in death by his father, mother and two brothers; Gary Malcolm and David Malcolm.
