Obituary

Teri Leigh Darling 61 of Bell, Florida passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Haven- Tri-Counties Hospice Care Center, Chiefland, Florida. Teri was born April 17, 1960 in Lansing, Michigan the daughter of Lee C. Darling and Jo Ann (Dalrymplye) Darling. Teri graduated from Harrison High School, Harrison, Michigan in 1978. Teri served in the Army National Guard, then enlisted into active duty and honorably served in the United States Army during Operation Desert Shield as well as Operation Desert Storm.
Teri had resided in Bell, Florida for several years, moving from Harrison. Teri was beyond passionate about her animals, acting as a foster mom for many homeless or rescued souls, always anxious to receive any whom were not able to be fostered or cared for at local animal shelters. For several years, Teri volunteered at Operation Cat Nip of Gainesville, Florida, an organization that spays, neuters and vaccinates free-roaming cats. Teri enjoyed driving her Kubota RTV, as it gave her freedom and an escape from the stresses of everyday life.
Surviving Teri are the many animals that loved her, as well as the love she held for them, two sisters: Toni Darling of Bell, Florida and Tracy Gillie and husband Roger of Harrison, one brother, Scott Darling of Harrison, two nieces, three nephews, three great-nieces and four great-nephews, plus many extended family members, friends and acquaintances. Teri was preceded in death by her parents.
