Clement “Sonny” Anthony Patrick, Jr., 73 of Harrison passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Clare. Clement was born June 18, 1947 in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, the son of Clement Anthony Patrick, Sr. and Mary Elsie (Haines) Patrick. Immediately following high school, Mr. Patrick honorably and unselfishly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1967-1969.

Sonny had resided in Harrison since 1982, moving from Wyandotte, Michigan. He spent over seventeen years as your local Butcher at Ashcraft’s Markets, Harrison store. Mr. Patrick was united in marriage to Ms. Merri Kay Clark on May 21, 2019. Sonny enjoyed spending time with his family and being outside, hunting, fishing, and exploring new remote areas. He had a knack for telling a good story, starting home projects and sometimes forgetting to complete them. When relaxing Sonny enjoyed watching televised boxing matches, and action and war movies. Sonny will be remembered for his commitment to his family and country.
Surviving Mr. Patrick is his wife and long-time companion, Merri Kay Patrick, seven loving children; William Patrick (Sandy) of Floral City, Florida, Michael Patrick (Jennifer) of Brooksville, Florida, Nicole Habel (Willie) of Charlevoix, Michigan, Mary Logan (Derek) of New Baltimore, Michigan, William Spann (Kellie), Jason Spann, Valerie Spann (Tony), and Tabatha Cooke (Eber) all of Harrison, twenty-two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters, Nancy Sammons of Ecorse, Michigan and Carol Michalski (Frank) of Clare, Michigan, one sister in-law, Wanda Warden (Rick) of Bon Aqua, Tennessee, many nieces, nephews, extended family members, his fur baby, Ziggy and many longtime friends that became like family. Mr. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents and one brother in-law, Mike Sammons.
Celebration of Life services for Mr. Patrick will be held Friday, June 18, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. from Hope Baptist Church, 3315 East Townline Lake Road, Harrison, with Pastor Gary Biggs officiating. A time of gathering will take place from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Military honors will be presented to Mr. Patrick immediately following Celebration of Life services.
